| Weekend Project! |
[Sep. 28th, 2009|05:21 pm] |
My orders always keep me bussy during the day from 9-17. But sometimes I like to take on a weekend job. Just for fun and experimenting. Thistime I chose to make an edwardian corset. It is the Savoye 1905 corset. I LOVE the lines of this corset. Beeing an edwardian it does not really push the bosom up but it has an extreme waist. This waist is emphasised by the horizontal pannels. I am so looking forward to what I will make of this! When it is finished I will add it to the historical corset page on my website. It is going to be made out of silk.

| Albert tailcoat |
[Jul. 20th, 2009|07:27 pm] |
This is a new item for Skeletons in the Closet. It is the Albert tailcoat. A regency style inspired militair tailcoat. The tailcoat is adorned with silver leaves on the front and the collar and cuffs. The Collar and cuffs are trimmed with a silver piping. The picture is beyond horrible, but I will replace it with a better one as soon as I have the time to organise a photoshoot. |

| Future plans for Skeletons in the Closet |
[Jul. 1st, 2009|06:30 pm] |
As I have said previously there are some new plans for the future of Skeletons in the Closet. This fall I am going to test out some historical corset patterns. Both Victorian and Edwardian gusseted corset. These corset are more complex then modern corsets, but they are oh so beatiful. In 2010 (D.V) I will take on custom corset orders for these types of corsets. I have also plans to make some lovely historical costumes as samples for direct sale. Keep an eye on the in stock page at my website and this livejournal for new goodies! |

| Gladys skirt |
[Jun. 5th, 2009|07:04 pm] |
This skirt is a part of the Gladys Ensemble I am making for a lovely client. She choose this amazing silk fabric. It is a very lovely shade of purple with a dark sheen on it. The resizing takes away the quality of the picture. But I hope you get the idea. |

| Wedding dress!! |
[May. 4th, 2009|05:20 pm] |
A while back I have finished this wedding dress. It was made for the most wonderfull costumer, who really knew what she wanted. My pictures are quite craptastic, but I do hope that you get the idea.
We used a gold brocade fabric for the top, and a ivory dupioni silk for the skirt. The skirt is fully lined and is trimmed with a gold colored bias to match the corset. (that was an idea of the mother of the bride) The corset has got a gold colored busk, because that matches the fabric of the corset better.
